In the early 1990s, they were brought from the Askania-Nova reserve and released in the Ukrainian part of the Chernobyl zone. The presence of the state border did not embarrass the animals. Increasingly, small herds of horses with a characteristic black mane standing erect can be seen on the territory of the Narovlya region. Needless to say, many photographers and just nature lovers dream of meeting this species in the wild, which is one of the rarest on Earth.
